Join Mine Kill State Park environmental educators Ian Heney at the Michael Kudish Natural History Preserve, looking for a night time event exploring the insects that come out after dark!
We’ll discuss the fascinating lives these creatures lead, their importance to humans, and how they fit into our environment. We’ll also go over how to identify some of the larger groups of insects, as well as a few common species.
Whether you’re terrified of insects or a published entomologist, there’s always something to learn from going out and finding them yourself!
The Michael Kudish Natural History Preserve is on Tower Mountain Road (Churchill Mountain) in Stamford NY. Just south, (up hill) from 2515 Tower Mountain Road, Stamford, NY 12167. It is a small entrance to a field on the right, shortly after you pass a pond.
