Preservation 101
Wild Apple Jelly!

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30th

Noon Pick Apples at the Preserve

1:00 PM make jelly in the village.

As part of the Natural History of Rural Living we want to share
the generational wisdom of preserving food.

THIS TIME WE WILL PICK WILD APPLES (every tree produces a totally different fruit)
and MAKE JELLY!

We are so lucky to have Our Community of Caring in our neighborhood.
Together with La Basse Cour we invite you to join us
at the First Prebyterian Church of Stamford, NY (96 Main St. Stamford)

You can bring your own apples and canning supplies if you wish

Jars, lids, rings, canning kettles, and jelly bags will be provided.
Each participant should bring a non-reactive (stainless steel, enamel, or stove-top-safe glass, such as Corning Visions)
2-qt or larger pot for making the final product.

(Take one home and bring the jar back
for our next Workshop - Full Circle)

No Fee for this Workshop. Donations Welcomed.
